  1. Work Group

    1. What is it: Established from the negations between the Trustees and the Occupants in the President’s Office over the summer

    2. Purpose: to give all numbers (financial analyses) 1 final review to help establish another possible financial sustainable model before charging tuition

    3. Charge/Goal: come up with a report for the December Board Meeting

    4. Agreement:

      1. Part 1: student commons will be identified: designated open space: Mezzanine in the Library

      2. Part 2: Student representative on the Board of Trustees:

        1. Not Vote: was not specified in agreement. But what is important as a first step is for the student’s thoughts and ideas to be heard and recorded.

  2. Dean Search

    1. Composed of Agrest, Zinguer, Rustow, Lowder, Zuliani and Dean O’Donnell as Ex Officio

    2. Call: Posted on the ACSA

    3. Also a call for nomination; can ask committee to make a more explicit email asking for nomination for other people

    4. Deadlines

      1. Nomination: September 15

      2. Application: November 15

    5. Timeline:

      1. By February, the committee should have finished its work.

      2. Because by March, the selected candidate needs to inform their institution of their leave

    6. Requirement: processional education in Architecture

    1. Collaborate with Public Affairs Office?

  4. The Years:

    1. Thesis

      1. Turnbull

        1. On Medical leave. Will know by next week whether it will be an extended medical leave of absence           

      2. Structures

  5. 4th Year

    1. Electives:

      1. Humanities Electives: important to bring up in the meetings with the President

      2. Too few and not too great

      3. Classes are over the limit which is a problem

      4. Can’t cut budget and admit bigger classes

    2. Equipment: Photo equipment in the Computer Studio missing parts

      1. Replace what we are missing

      2. Need to enforce stricter policies for the Computer Studio Monitors when checking in and out equipment to students

    3. Admissions Committee

    1. Soldering in studio

      1. Either in high vent room or

      2. Wrap a table in sheet metal and have all soldering activity happen on that table

        1. In addition to (Safety Committee or students) getting fans to make sure studio is properly ventilated

    2. Solvents must be used in high vent room

  8. 1st year

    1. The effectiveness of splitting classes i.e. calculus

  9. Summer programs

    1. Intro: Emerging Architecture

      1. 11 students, $3.2k per student

    2. Digital Master Class

      1. 5 students, $4k per student

    3. Financially:

      1. Reduced each student’s tuition by 1k

  10. Tuition

    1. 50% Scholarship

    2. Merit scholarship

      1. Question:

        1. For all students in the program or only to a group of students? And if so who are those groups of students
